True transformation happens through relationship. The GNT opportunity allows for relationships to form. A GNT is a group of 5-12 people who are passionate about showing Christ’s love to the refugee and immigrant community here in the Triad area. A GNT is partnered with an refugee or immigrant individual or family for a minimum of 6 months and works to assist World Relief Triad staff with various aspects of the resettlement or integration process. A GNT’s role is to create loving, lasting, life-long, mutually beneficial relationships with their partnered refugees and immigrants through weekly visits to the family and assisting with the resettlement or integration process. A GNT is often a pre- existing small group or community group from a local Church; however, a GNT can also be any group of people that come together out of their passion for serving the vulnerable.  For more information on our GNT opportunity, please visit this link.

Is your group looking for a monthly hands-on service opportunity? Home Prep Teams help prepare, set up, and maintain homes for refugees and immigrants.  Home Prep Teams commit to one day each month for a minimum of 6 months where they will spend 2-3 hours setting up a home for a newly arriving refugee or immigrant, organizing donations in the World Relief warehouse, preparing for upcoming home setups, or providing yard or home maintenance for an existing home.

We occasionally have opportunities for community organizations, groups and schools to volunteer with a project, donation drive or other event. For one-time opportunities, please contact Tafie Webb, Volunteer Coordination Specialist, at twebb@wr.org
